We have just learned that on October 31st, the contingent claim deadline for Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company and its former subsidiaries was postponed one year to November 10, 2017. All policyholders who had previously submitted contingent proofs of claim must demonstrate that their claims have been paid or liquidated by that date in order to share in the Class (D) distributions of the estate. Unliquidated claims that were timely filed may still be allowed under Class (E).
For additional information, please visit the Lumbermens Companies' website, the Illinois Office of the Special Deputy Receiver or KCIC's Knowledge Center.
