For the second year in a row, KCIC will share findings from its comprehensive asbestos litigation database during Perrin Conferences’ Asbestos Litigation Conference: A National Overview & Outlook, Sept. 12-14, 2016, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
KCIC Vice President Michelle Potter will participate in the panel discussion “National Trends Driving Asbestos Litigation” at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12. The session will be the first to take place during the three-day event.
As part of her presentation, Potter will share KCIC’s latest data and analysis about asbestos litigation in the U.S., including the first six months of data for 2016. She will compare the findings to mid-year 2015 numbers that KCIC Vice President Elizabeth Hanke presented last year at the same event.
KCIC’s asbestos litigation database captures at least 90 percent of the total asbestos filings in the U.S. The company’s “Asbestos Litigation: 2015 Year in Review” report sparked interest and made waves when it was released earlier this year. It revealed extreme concentrations of who is filing asbestos litigation, as well as where and what they are filing, and who is being named in the suits. KCIC will publish its “Asbestos Litigation: 2016 Year in Review” report in early 2017.
Joining Potter on the panel will be Perry J. Browder of Simmons Hanly Conroy LLC; Anne McGinness Kearse of Motley Rice LLC; and William F. Mahoney of Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney, Ltd.
Beforehand, KCIC will kick off the conference by sponsoring the registration and continental breakfast prior to Opening Remarks.
