One of KCIC’s Core Values is “Achievement with Flexibility” — valuing our employees as members of families and of communities.

That tenant is behind KCIC’s recent decision to make a significant commitment to support Children’s National Health System. Children’s National is the only health system designed for children in the Washington metropolitan area. Some members of the KCIC team have been personally impacted by the care their families have received there.

For the past several years, KCIC has participated in the hospital’s annual Race for Every Child 5K and Kids Run. A team of KCIC staff and families will be on hand again for the 2016 race on October 1 — and this year, we have stepped up our support even further:

• KCIC is a “Believer” sponsor for the race. The company is featured on the race’s home page.
• KCIC President Jonathan Terrell now serves on the health system’s newly formed corporate advisory board.

KCIC is proud to get be more closely aligned with Race for Every Child effort, as well as to be involved with Children’s National in a deeper way year-round. “KCIC is all about solving problems,” Terrell says. “Joining together with Children’s National is a way for us to take a more active role in helping the children of our community get the quality health care they deserve.”
