KCIC has been named a finalist in the Insurance Consulting Team of the Year category by Business Insurance for its inaugural U.S. Insurance Awards program.
The award honors teams of professionals working on specific projects in the commercial insurance and risk management sector.
KCIC was recognized for development of its Bankruptcy Evidence Verification (BEV) tool, which has changed the way defendants and insurers analyze bankruptcy trust information. KCIC's BEV team collected publicly available trust data from over 80 trusts. Those datasets were standardized and merged to form a massive database of over 125,000 job sites, 9,000 occupations and industries, 1,600 products and pictures, and more than 1,400 documents. Now attorneys can identify sources of exposure to bankrupt companies in seconds, not days.
U.S. Insurance Awards finalists were selected by senior Business Insurance staff from nominations submitted to the publication. Winners in each category will be announced in New York on March 8, 2018.
